The Expedition Academy believes that in order to reach its potential in helping students learn it must become a community of learning in and of itself. As a result, the academy is committed to developing a habit of curiosity, inquiry and reflection that touches students and adults alike. The academy is interested in how students produce knowledge, and apply knowledge. Furthermore, emphasis is placed on recognizing the responsibility of each student to make personal goals consistent with social necessity; understanding that society is only as harmonious and just as we are individually.
